a Conference
Thursday, 09/23/2021 to 09/24/2021. ARCHIVED EVENT
Location: Galveston, Texas
The Conference Series on Aging in the Americas (CAA) utilizes research to augment knowledge about dimensions of healthful aging for people of Hispanic and Latin American descent. As this topic rapidly develops as a major policy and national budget issue, the CAA also aims to foster emerging scholars in the field. Iterations of the conference series, ICAA meetings, are held each year.
The Resilience and Aging in the Americas meeting will be held September 23-24, 2021 and hosted by UTMB (the University of Texas Medical Branch) Galveston. ICAA Program Co-Organizers include: Kyriakos Markides (UTMB) kmarkides@utmb.edu, Verónica Montes De Oca (UNAM) vmoiis@gmail.com, and Rogelio Saenz (UTSA) Rogelio.saenz@utsa.edu.
CAA’s investigators and advisory team lead the conference each year with the generous support of grantees, sponsors, and partners. The CAA Mentoring Program offers a unique opportunity for emerging scholars to participate in a juried poster session and engage with expert researchers on issues related to their field of study.
